Bill Couser and Charlie Good receive honors from ACE during annual conference.
Two Nevada, Iowa residents were recently honored by a national ethanol advocacy group for their work in promoting ethanol.
During the American Coalition for Ethanol’s (ACE) recent annual conference in Minneapolis, Bill Couser of Couser Cattle Company was presented with a leadership award from ACE President Ron Alverson for his grassroots advocacy and leadership on behalf of the domestic ethanol industry, and Charlie Good, owner of the Good and Quick gas station, was named the recipient of the Paul Dana Marketing Vision Award for his support and sale of higher ethanol blends such as E15, E30 and E85. Each year the President of the ACE board of directors presents the President’s Award to a leader who stands out for his or her advocacy of ethanol. ACE established the marketing vision award to make his vision of fueling the IRL with ethanol a reality.
“Bill Couser is one of the most passionate and effective grassroots leaders for ethanol and agriculture, in the entire country and Charlie Good is a perfect example of the success a retailer can achieve by offering customers the choice to fill up on higher blends of ethanol,” said ACE Executive Vice President Brian Jennings.
