Plant of the Week

Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle

Here is a deciduous shrub anyone can grow almost anywhere!  Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle (Diervilla lonicera) is a tough little guy, grows to 3 1/2 feet by 3 feet.  Yellow flowers smell sweet to humans and bees.  Tolerates shade, has good red fall color.  Great for erosion control and in mass plantings.

  1. Karen, Great description of this plant! One of my favorites as well! It also seems to be fairly drought resistant.
