Here is a deciduous shrub anyone can grow almost anywhere!  Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle (Diervilla lonicera) is a tough little guy, grows to 3 1/2 feet by 3 feet.  Yellow flowers smell sweet to humans and bees.  Tolerates shade, has good red fall color.  Great for erosion control and in mass plantings.
